Dr. Audrey Mattson is originally from southwest Montana. She is currently Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) and is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN). SW Montana Neuropsychology Services, PLLC has office locations in Anaconda and receives referrals from throughout the region.
Dr. Mattson obtained her PhD (1991) in psychology from the University of Houston’s Clinical Neuropsychology Program. She then completed an internship in clinical psychology at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Health Sciences Center followed by a post-doctoral fellowship, also at UM, through the Department of Neurology. Over the past 20 years she has provided psychological and neuropsychological services to adults and children in a variety of medical, rehabilitation and mental health settings. Prior to graduate school, she completed a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Washington. She worked as an OT in psychiatric physical medicine / rehabilitation settings which sparked her interest in psychology and clinical neuropsychology.
Dr. Mattson conducts pediatric and adult neuropsychological evaluations for diagnostic, treatment planning, academic accommodation and disability determination purposes. Dr. Mattson’s areas of expertise include traumatic brain injury, dementia / memory disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., learning, attention and developmental disorders) and neuropsychiatric disorders.
